The Clerk of the Board performs numerous duties in fulfilling its charge to provide support to the Board of Supervisors and information to the public.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors Board is the governing body of the County, certain special districts and the Housing Authority. The Board enacts ordinances and resolutions, adopts the annual budget, approves contracts, appropriates funds, determines land use zoning for the unincorporated areas, and appoints certain County officers and members of various boards and commissions.
ASSESSMENT APPEALS DIVISION
The Assessment Appeals Division receives and processes applications for changed assessment; and provides assistance to the general public on the assessment appeals process.

COUNTY WEBSITE

RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF
The Riverside Sheriff’s Department is the 2nd-largest Sheriff’s Office in California, managing five correctional facilities, Coroner-Public Administrator duties, and providing court services.
CODE ENFORCEMENT
The Code Enforcement Department is responsible for enforcing State of California Laws and over fifteen Riverside County Ordinances in the unincorporated areas of Riverside County. Common code issues include: dangerous or substandard buildings, open excavations, unpermitted businesses, zoning violations, construction or grading without permits, inoperative or abandoned vehicles, and excessive outside storage.
