ORDINANCE NO. 688
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE
ACCEPTING THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 13522 OF THE CALIFORNIA
PENAL CODE RELATING TO THE RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OF
DISTRICT ATTORNEY INVESTIGATORS AND PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHERS
EMPLOYED BY THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY
The Board of Supervisors of the
County of Riverside, State of California, Ordains as follows:
SECTION 1. The County of Riverside
declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the State of California
under the provisions of Section 13522, Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4, of the
California Penal Code and Section 13524, Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4, of the
California Penal Code.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section
13510, Chapter 1, the County of Riverside, District Attorney Investigators and
District Attorney Public Safety Dispatchers will adhere to the standards for
recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace
Officer Standards and Training (POST).
SECTION 3. Pursuant to Section
13512, Chapter 1, the County of Riverside District Attorney will allow the
Commission on POST and its representatives to make such inquiries as deemed
appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that the District Attorney
Investigators and District Attorney Public Safety Dispatchers will adhere to
the standards for recruitment and training established by the California
Commission on POST.
SECTION 4. Ordinance No. 589 is
hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take
effect 30 days after the date of adoption.
