16.2    Brad Anderson spoke regarding security issues and Board comments made after he spoke on an item that went to the BOS July 11, 2023.

 

16.3    Vinod Dasika spoke regarding a transient attacking him while riding his bike on the Santa Ana River trail, the public health issue transients are causing, and lack of public safety.

 

16.4    Bob Palomarez thanked the police, sheriff, and fire departments for the great work they do. He also spoke regarding County funds given to a non-profit ran by Cory Jackson for a project in Moreno Valley that was never built.

 

16.5    Roy Bleckert spoke regarding government mismanagement of public funds.

·         Dr. Christopher Thornburg, Economist, no longer with UCR, was optimistic with the economic forecast

·         Attended a 20-year anniversary of an Auto Business

·         Fire Ad Hoc to look into ways to support the fight to lower high-cost fire insurance

 

Supervisor Gutierrez:

·         Fires update - thanked Fire Chief for the tour of the wildfires and thanked all staff involved in fighting the fires
