OPENING COMMENTS:

   BOARD MEMBERS

   Supervisor Buster mentioned relocation of a new firm Amro Fabrication bringing jobs to Riverside County.

   Supervisor Ashley mentioned the job fair in Cabazon and the Cleanup in Romoland/Homeland was successful. He also mentioned the Southern California Fair was successful.

   Supervisor Stone thanked Code Enforcement for cleanup efforts at the Romoland/Homeland event and mentioned the Twin Pines event.

   Supervisor Stone mentioned that he would like to challenge County Counsel to report back to the Board in closed session about the possibility to move forward with litigation regarding unfunded mandates due to courts sentencing people to the county jails.

   Supervisor Stone mentioned the Family Life Kin Care center helping raise money for foster children and grandparents raising grandchildren.

   Supervisor Stone requested that the General Plan be revised to make sure that any paleontological bones discovered in Riverside County be sent to the Western Science Center in the Hemet area.

   Supervisor Benoit mentioned the college fair at Indio Fairgrounds.

   Supervisor Tavaglione mentioned that they were getting a music program at Twin Pines. He also mentioned the AB109 workshop October 24th 2011.
