16.1    Chani Beeman spoke regarding the court ruling of a young boy in Moreno Valley involving the Sheriff’s department and requested oversight of the Sheriff’s department.

 

16.2    Bob Palomarez spoke in opposition of the Board approving an item to extend funding for the homeless shelter in Moreno Valley on Perris Blvd involving the non-profit SBX.

 

16.3    Daryl Terrell requested the Board implement a catalytic converter theft etching program.

 

16.4    Roy Bleckert questioned the credibility of people that speak at the Board meetings bashing law enforcement and spoke about the high cost of living and the negative impact from decisions the government makes, including the SBX project.

 

16.5    Elaine Van Beek spoke in support of the Best Friends Animal Society and the goal to support We Are 90 for Riverside Campaign and requested resources and funding for lifesaving efforts.

 

16.6    Shelby Bunch, Riverside County Chair of New California State, spoke regarding issues with the Registrar of Voters and the need for proper and lawful elections.

·         All students that graduated from the Workforce Reserve Program did not qualify to be hired due to Cal Fire not recognizing their certificates. Fire is working on a solution to fill the 130 vacancies and an item will come to the Board on December 12 to provide direction to the Executive Office.
