Supervisor Jeffries:

·         First AdHoc committee meeting involving facilities and space allocation involved a thorough review of the process for assessing space requests from various departments.

 

Jeff Van Wagenen:

·                     The AdHoc concluded that the existing process would be maintained and a report back quarterly; Action items scheduled for the upcoming agenda will encompass a review of Board policies H-9 and B-8; A specific focus was directed towards county-wide parking concerns, with particular attention to downtown Riverside.

 

Executive Officer / State Budget Update

Jeff Van Wagenen:

·            Installation of Kyla Brown as the State Board President for the California State Parks and Recreation Society

·            Matt Jennings will lead the State Treasurer’s Association next year

·            Highlighted Riverside County's receipt of awards, including the Marketing Communication Awards of Excellence for the Santa Ana River bottom collaborative website, and Creating Community Award of Excellence for the Knee-High Naturalist Program at Hidden Valley Wildlife Area.
